Message from the CEO of the Iran Hangzhou Trade Tower on the occasion of Journalist Day

On the Occasion of Iranian Journalist’s Day — August 8, 2026 By: Khaled Rasouli CEO of Iran Hangzhou Trade Tower
August 8, Iranian Journalist’s Day, is an occasion to honor those who have defined their mission as seeking the truth, promoting awareness, and building connections among nations.

August 8, Iranian Journalist’s Day, is an occasion to honor those who have defined their mission as seeking the truth, promoting awareness, and building connections among nations. Journalists and media professionals are not merely chroniclers of events; they are architects of public trust, bridges between cultures, and catalysts for constructive dialogue among nations. In a world where information travels faster every day, journalists bear greater responsibilities than ever before, as truthfulness, accuracy, impartiality, and accountability are the principal assets of professional media.

Relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the People’s Republic of China constitute one of the most important and strategic economic, cultural, and commercial relationships in Asia. Expanding this cooperation requires not only economic and investment capacities but also mutual understanding, trust-building, and accurate communication. In this regard, journalists and media outlets play an irreplaceable role in presenting the capabilities of both countries, dispelling misconceptions, reflecting economic realities, and creating a favorable environment for long-term cooperation.

Today, international trade is no longer limited to the exchange of goods; it is built upon the exchange of knowledge, information, experience, and human connections. Every accurate report on an investment opportunity, every truthful account of the capabilities of Iranian producers, every professional presentation of China’s industrial strengths, and every balanced analysis of economic developments can lay the groundwork for new cooperation between the business communities of the two countries. Economic journalists and specialized media should therefore be regarded as some of the most important partners in trade development.

With this perspective, Iran Hangzhou Trade Tower has sought, since the beginning of its activities, not only to provide specialized services in trade, import, export, investment, and the development of economic cooperation, but also to create an appropriate platform for effective engagement with journalists and media organizations. We believe that professional media are a powerful force for economic development and that, without their active participation, communicating the true capabilities of Iran and China to target audiences would face considerable challenges.

We believe that the media can play an influential role in promoting Iranian producers, expanding non-oil exports, identifying investment opportunities, introducing innovative technologies, sharing successful experiences, and strengthening economic diplomacy. Furthermore, professional coverage of specialized exhibitions, economic forums, trade delegations, industrial visits, and joint Iran–China events can facilitate cooperation among businesses and open new horizons for the private sectors of both countries.

In this regard, Iran Hangzhou Trade Tower stands ready to further expand its cooperation with news agencies, specialized media outlets, journalists, and information professionals. Facilitating access to reliable information, introducing commercial opportunities, collaborating in the production of specialized content, covering economic events, establishing connections with Chinese companies and institutions, facilitating media communications, and supporting joint information initiatives are among the organization’s principal approaches to engagement with the media community.

We believe that the future of Iran–China relations will not be shaped solely by the expansion of economic exchanges. It also requires the development of a shared media discourse, a deeper understanding of the capabilities of both countries, and the accurate communication of realities to the public. Journalists are the connecting link in this process, and through their words, images, and narratives, they can lay the foundations for trust, cooperation, and sustainable development among nations.

On behalf of the entire Iran Hangzhou Trade Tower family, I honor the memory of those who lost their lives in the service of journalism, as well as all journalists who have pursued the mission of promoting awareness with dedication and responsibility. On the occasion of August 8, Iranian Journalist’s Day, I extend my sincere congratulations to all journalists, press photographers, media professionals, managing directors, editors-in-chief, and everyone working in the field of information and communications.

I sincerely hope that, through the continuation of constructive cooperation between the media and the business community, we will witness the further development of strategic relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the People’s Republic of China, the worthy presentation of our national capabilities, and the creation of new opportunities for producers, exporters, and investors in both countries.
